Extrusion width calibration using Simplify 3D

Notes: This guide is for users that want to properly calibrate extrusion in Simplify 3D using a 0.4mm nozzle width and PLA filament Click add to create a new process call the process 'Calibration 0.4mm'  select profile as your existing 'go to' profile  set auto configure for material PLA  set auto configure for material Medium  set infill percentage to zero %  click on show advanced- a lot more tweakable settings will appear.  On the Extruder tab: make sure nozzle diameter says 0.4mm, not 0.35. Change it if necessary.  set extrusion multiplier to 1.0  set extrusion width to manual 0.4mm  leave retraction on, retraction 1.0mm if direct drive and 4.5mm if bowden with 0mm extra restart distance, 0mm vertical lift, 1600mm/min speed  turn coasting off  turn wipe off  On the Layer tab: this single wall calibration must be done for each type and brand of filament you use- PLA, ABS, and PETG will all require different extrusion multipliers. Configuring 3D Printer Print Servers for monitoring and control over the Internet

Notes: This guide assumes the user: Is running Windows 10  Has a Raspberry Pi 3 they want to use as a print server  Has a home router connected to the Internet, blocking remote Internet access to your home network  Access from the Internet will be properly secured: Non-persistent temporary access per session  SSL encrypted tunnel to protect your internal network  Zero firewall configuration required (port mapping, DMZ configuration)  Session Restrictions with free version of Remot3.it: Can connect for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time  Can connect to up to 5 separate remote Print Servers behind firewalls  You must use a web browser to access the remote devices  You cannot permanently link to the web browser URL as it disappears after 30 minutes- you will need to login to Remot3.it and reconnect if your session times out.  Let us begin!
